An Overview

The skin is often overlooked and abused through pollution, poor nutiriton and stress. It is the largest organ in the body and fulfils many roles:

  • Protecting the body from sun exposure, toxins and injuries
  • Protecting the internal body from infection
  • Temperature regulation
  • Providing visual signs of ones physical and emotional well being

The ageing process begins from birth. By our early 20s, growth and development is complete and the ageing effects often begin to become visible in our skin. Skins starts to lose it’s elasticity and moisture, becoming drier and less supple.  The visual result is often laxity within the skin, and wrinkles.

Skin Tightening and Wrinkle Reduction

Skin tightening procedures have become very popular in providing a nonsurgical alternative to more invasive procedures for correcting skin laxity and improving skin quality.  We offer a non-invasive wrinkle treatment using INDIBA that promotes improvement of skin laxity through shortening the collagen fibres within the skin.

INDIBA raises the internal temperature of the tissues as part of a relaxing yet effective treatment. This stimulates collagen production and increases the circulation, tightening the skin and improving the delivery of nutrients and removal of waste products.

When to Consider Nonsurgical Skin Tightening:

  • If you have mild to moderate loose skin on your face, neck, arms or abdomen
  • If you have residual skin laxity after an operative procedure, weight-loss or pregnancy
  • If you would like an improvement in the quality of your skin
  • If you would like to improve the appearance of wrinkles
  • If you are unable (or unwilling) to undergo a more invasive, surgical procedure to correct skin laxity

Pre and Post Surgery

Pre and post aesthetic and reconstructive/liposuction surgery

Promotes wound care and wound healing by improving wound drainage and facilitating the healing process.  Encouraging the skin to tighten to the underlyng muscle and the channels created by the liposuction to reduce.

Treatment Application

Treatment starts with lymphatic drainage followed by a massage of the treatment area using the two different types of electrodes (capacitive & resistive) to encourage a balanced state of ions in the treatment site and reach different layers of the skin.

During the treatment, it is normal to experience some heat. The treatment is non painful unlike other available treatments and said to be quite relaxing.

Depending on the area treated, the treatment duration can range from 30 minutes for small areas to 60 minutes for large areas.

Treatments are normally delivered once to twice per week, but there is no limitation as the Proionic® radiofrequency is completely harmless for the human body and its biological tissues. The frequency of the sessions will be adapted according to patient need, determined by the experienced practitioner.

For best results it is recommended that you have an initial course of 6 treatments ideally within 3 weeks, and then a maintenance session every 4-6 weeks.

Can patients with Botox be treated?

Yes, but it is important to separate the Botox administration from the INDIBA® treatment with a minimum interval of 21 days.
