Physiotherapy – INDIBA

Radiofrequency Treatment- Physiotherapy with INDIBA® Sutton Coldfield Birmingham

The aim of physiotherapy is to restore and maximise function.  At Resolve Physiotherapy we specialise in resolving problems associated with the musculoskeletal system.  We adopt a very hands on approach to treatment, supported by electrotherapies, prescriptive exercise, education and advice.

We believe that ensuring that the client is treated as an individual and adjusting treatments to best meet the unique needs of each client is paramount to successful rehabilitation.  We also take pride in being able to offer the most current, clinically effective treatments to our clients.  INDIBA® offers us this opportunity.

INDIBA® – What is it?

INDIBA® is a is a pioneer of innovation in the field of radiofrequency design and manufacture of medical devices based on studies and scientific evidence in order to meet the needs of patients and therapists.

INDIBA®  uses a Proionic® System as the unique system that stimulates intra and extra cellular ion exchange, restoring physiological cell electrical activity, enabling the correct functionality of the cells.

This system utilities its unique 448 kHz frequency which is the key of its active cell therapy.  This radio frequency activates biostimulation, stimulates microcirculation and promotes metabolic hyperactivation, while respecting cell physiology.  The 448 kHz frequency enhances ion mobilisation through the intra and extracellular matrix restoring the permeability of the cell membrane potential which may have been distorted through time, injury or disease.

The system optimises tissue recovery by supplying oxygen and nutrients, through the body’s natural blood supply.  The circulatory activation (microcirculation and vasodilation) stimulates the healing process of proliferation and fibroblasts activity generated by collagen.  The result is tissue regeneration and recovery.

The system can be used with no heat, some heat and increased heat and on two different settings for each to encourage different responses within the body according to the clinical need and at differing levels of depth.

  • Non Thermal Effects – The high frequency energy generated modifies the permeability of the cell membrane, even when using the non thermal application. It increases intra and extracellular ion exchange and provides effective tissue regeneration.  Metabolism increases as does cellular demand for oxygen.
  • Thermal Effects - The increased microcirculation complements bio-stimulation and provides the tissue with the elements it needs to regenerate itself.  Capillary vasodilatation nourishes and brings oxygen to the tissue, improving venous and lymphatic reabsorption.
  • Hyperthermal Effects - Hyperthermia greatly increases cellular metabolism and starts a restructuring process in the tissue to fight against fibrosis.  Tissue is restructured even in chronic cases in which fibrosis has been present for some time such as the long term effects of a previous trauma or arthritis.

Physiotherapy treatment using INDIBA® focuses on accelerating the natural repair mechanisms of the tissue to a safe and secure way, to allow the most efficient recovery possible. The fundamental goal of treatment focuses on reducing pain and inflammation and accelerating the healing process through the effect of the single Proionic® system of INDIBA® active.  The speed of results and the ability to treat acute and chronic disease is one of the essential factors to ensure the rapid recovery of tissue preventing relapses.  The system can be used to treat:

  • Lower back pain
  • Bursitis
  • Capsulitis
  • Tendinopathies
  • Muscle contractures
  • Sprains and strains
  • Dislocation
  • Fracture
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Inflammation and oedema
  • Contusion
  • Arthritis
  • Direct trauma
  • Indirect trauma
  • Muscle fatigue
  • Preparation for competition

Injury prevention: To optimise athletic performance it is essential to maintain good hydration and tissue vascularisation. Treatment with INDIBA® optimises physical abilities integrating movement and sports movements during treatment.

NB: Treatment with INDIBA® requires a slightly longer session per treatment area (approx 45 minutes per body part)
